Domestic Dockets:
The Chatham County courts are now hearing non-jury domestic matters via WebEx, and many other counties in Georgia are following the same approach. Uncontested Divorces in Chatham County continue to be resolved by stipulation and without a court appearance at all. Mediations and depositions can be conducted effectively online through Zoom or WebEx. The attorneys at Johnson & Kraeuter have learned that virtual hearings are more effective and efficient than live in-person hearings were. Similarly, online mediations and depositions have been just as, if not more, effective and efficient than they were in-person.
Johnson Kraeuter is accepting new clients and consultations can occur via telephone, Zoom, or in-person only if everyone agrees to wear a mask and abide by social distancing protocols. New clients are encouraged to utilize the Zoom video option if at all possible. Additionally, Johnson Kraeuter’s attorneys have been continuing discovery in open cases, they have access to all legal research databases while working remotely, and the Clerk’s office is accepting filings in cases. Now is a good time to focus on strategically advancing the ball in pending cases.
The attorneys and staff of Johnson Kraeuter, LLC hope that you and yours stay healthy during this time of crisis, and we stand ready to continue offering our unparalleled personalized service to you.
